What is included in the rental?
Every EagleRider Australia rental includes a helmet for each rider and passenger. Each bike also comes with a disk lock or cable lock or both. Additionally, jackets are available for rent, and T-shirts jackets, gloves and other accessories are also available for sale at most locations.
What is your payment policy?
All reservations are on a pre-paid basis, meaning we charge your credit card for the full rental at time of booking the reservation. This ensures that your bike is available and waiting for you when you arrive at the rental location. EagleRider accepts American Express, MasterCard and Visa.
How does the security deposit (credit card authorization) work?
At time of motorcycle pick-up a security deposit will be taken on your credit card, and the amount held will be unavailable against your credit card available balance until after the return of the motorcycle at which time, with no charges due, the security deposit amount will drop off of your credit card automatically. The security deposit amount is will depend on the type of Theft and Damage Waiver you select. Please refer to our terms and conditions.
Do you deliver the bike to a location I choose? If so, what is the cost?
Bike delivery varies by location. An EagleRider Australia location may work with you on this based on time, location, and availability of staff.
Can I be picked up at my hotel?
Typically, upon request, an EagleRider location will pick you up if you are within 10 kilometres of the EagleRider location for rentals of three days or more.
What is your policy on petrol?
EagleRider generally rents motorcycles with a full fuel tank, but may rent with less fuel in the tank. Motorcycle should be returned with the same amount of fuel in tank as check out. Vehicles returned with a less fuel than check-out are subject to a refuelling charge. Renters may also pre-pay for fuel, allowing them to return the petrol tank empty.
How are mechanical breakdowns handled?
Every renter is provided with a toll free emergency telephone number at pick-up. In case of a mechanical breakdown the Roadside Assistance Company will arrange for towing to the nearest EagleRider location or repair facility. Please also refer to our DER/EDER terms and conditions.
What happens if I get a flat tyre?
Every renter is provided with a toll free emergency telephone number at pick-up. In case of a Flat Tyre, our staff will assist with towing to the nearest EagleRider location or repair facility. Customer charges for flat tyre depend on selected Theft and Damage Waiver. Please refer to our terms and conditions.
Does ER offer sidecars?
Unfortunately for insurance reasons EagleRider Australia does not offer sidecars at this time.
How old do you have to be to rent from ER?
The minimum age to rent a motorcycle is 21 years. The minimum age limit for passengers is 8 and the passenger must be able to reach the passenger foot pegs or floorboards of the bike.
What kind of driver's license is required to rent from ER?
You must have a valid motorcycle license (appropriate to the size of your rental bike) to rent a motorcycle from EagleRider Australia. International customers: If your license allows you to legally ride the same type of bike in your home country, you can rent from us. The license from your country is sufficient if it is in English, if not you will need to get an international license with an English translation.
Do you offer jackets, chaps, gloves, helmets or other accessories?
Helmets are included in your rental rates. The selection of helmets, chaps, gloves, and other accessories available for purchase will vary by location. Most locations also have rental jackets available.
What are the hours of operation?

Can I add additional riders to my rental?
Yes, one additional driver is permitted at no extra charge. The minimum age for an additional driver is 21 and a valid motorcycle license is required.
When two people are on one bike, does the insurance cover both of them? If the two people are authorized to drive, will one insurance cover both riders?

Can I do a one-way rental?
Yes. EagleRider is the leader in one-way motorcycle rentals worldwide. You can drop off the motorcycle at any EagleRider Australia location. One-way fees will apply to one-way rentals.
Do you rent GPS systems?
Yes, EagleRider does rent GPS units in most locations.
Do the motorbikes have a cigarette lighter plug to allow for a GPS to be powered from the bike?
The Harley-Davidson® Street Glide®, Electra Glide® and Road Glide® have power outlets built into the fairing. Other bikes in the EagleRider inventory do not have power outlets.
Is the rental based upon a calendar day or rental day?
Rentals are based upon a 24 hour period. If you pick up the bike at 10:00 AM it is also due back at 10:00 AM.
Do you rent rain suits?
Rain suits can be purchased at some locations, though we do not rent them.
Is there a place for me to store my luggage while renting a Bike from ER?
Yes, all EagleRider locations will store renter's luggage, free of charge. EagleRider does not assume liability for the luggage or contents, but will secure it during your rental period.
Does ER offer Helmet Comm's?
Yes, helmet communication devices are available for purchase at some rental locations.
Are the side saddlebags and storage on motorcycles lockable?
Certain vehicles provide for lockable storage, but other models do not, we do not guarantee lockable saddlebags.
Will I get an orientation on how to ride in the city which I am renting?
Yes, every client will receive orientation to the motorcycle. The client orientation will cover all aspects of safe motorcycle operation, the clients' maintenance responsibilities, local and state laws.
Can I bring my own helmet?
You must wear a helmet that meets Australian compliance. The fines for wearing an illegal helmet are quite large and we cannot allow you to leave our facilities wearing one. To be legal in Australia helmets must meet the AS/NZS standard and have the appropriate compliance labels attached. European ECE, Japanese, JIS, US DOT and other overseas helmets are not legal in Australia. If you prefer, helmets may be purchased at many of EagleRider’s rental locations.
I am visiting from overseas; do I need medical insurance?
Even if it's not a requirement under your visa, it is well worth considering taking out cover. If you need to visit a doctor or stay in hospital while you're here, you could be responsible for the full cost of treatment, which can be very expensive.
If you are visiting from a country that has a reciprocal health care agreement with Australia you may be eligible to receive immediate necessary treatment in Australia's public system, but should still consider taking out cover.
Some visas may require you to hold private insurance while you're in Australia.
